FAQs: About Planning a Conference
Planning a women’s conference is hard work. It takes a lot of time, effort, teamwork, and can be expensive. You want to make it worthwhile for every woman in attendance—from long-standing believers to those who are new in Christ or still seeking something to satisfy their spiritual heart needs. “Planning a Christ-Focused Women’s Conference“ will help you to consider four priorities as you plan your women’s conference so that is will be a Christ-focused one.
Host a one-day Bible Study conference where the ladies get to go through a short Bible Study together. Order the books for each attendee. I will lead the group through 4 of the lessons with a combination of my introducing the lesson, asking the whole group questions, and discussing their feedback. Then, I turn over selected parts of each lesson to table groups to read the verses and discuss the questions. Women who have never done Bible Study learn how to do it, and women who are too busy to participate during the week days get to experience group Bible Study. And they take the book home to finish on their own. It’s a win / win!
Lifestyle disciplemaking is growing in your faith while at the same time reaching new people for Christ, building them up in the faith, and helping them reach their peers. Not every Christian woman will become a director or small group leader. But every Christian woman has “The Call to Lifestyle Disciplemaking.” It is a lifestyle, not a church program. Disciplemaking can take place wherever women gather.
Lifestyle disciplemaking has three phases:
• CONNECT with those who need to know Jesus,
• ESTABLISH new and young believers in the truths of the faith, and
• LAUNCH growing believers to connect with and establish their peers.
